HAIR CUTTING

I.  TITLES:

            01.  A hair cut by scissors then tapering by razor

02.  A hair cut with guideline by scissors and cut whole head by razor then trim by scissors

            03.  Cut whole head by razor then trim by scissors

04.  Using scissors to cut the whole head, then using the razor to reduce bulk of the hair

II.  MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTS:

-         Soap and water

-         Shampoo cape

-         Towels

-         Sanex strip

-         Comb

-         Clamps

-         Scissors

-         Razor

-         Spray bottle

III.  PROCEDURE:

            01.  Wash hands

            02.  Set up table

            03.  Drape patron sanex strip drape (cloth)

            04.  Examine scalp and hair

            05.  Section hair:  4 or 5

            06.  Give guideline:  1/2" around hairline from ear to ear

            07.  Cutting hair:

                                    *  Cut guideline 0⁰

                                    *  Part subsection 1/2"

                                    *  Cut:  0⁰ (one lane), 45⁰ or 90⁰ (layers)

                                    *  Cut 2 back sections first

                                    *  Then cut one front section and another

                                    *  Bang usually cut 90⁰

            08.  Check whole head, tapering or trim

            09.  Clean up hair

                                    *  On the patron

                                    *  On the floor

            10.  Examiner check hair cut

11.    Clean up

12.  Wash hands
