SOFT PERMANENT WAVE ON OVERCURLY HAIR

I.  MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTS: 

-          Soap and water                                                                          -  Rods

-          Record card                                                                                 -  Straightener

-          Shampoo                                                                                      -  End paper

-          Towels                                                                                          -  Applicators

-          Combs:  regular comb, tail comb                                           -  Plastic bowl

-          Clamps                                                                                         -  Tint brush

-          Gloves                                                                                           -  Protective cream

-          Cotton band                                                                                -  Soft permanent wave

-          Water spray bottle                                                                         solution           

                                                                                                                -  Soft permanent wave

                                                                                                                    neutralizer

II.  PROCEDURE: 

01.      Wash hands

02.      Set up table

03.      Drape patron:  double drape

04.      Examine scalp and hair

05.      Wet hair

            PART 1: 

06.      Section hair:  4

07.      Apply protective cream (around hairline)

08.      Wear gloves

09.      Take soft permanent solution=Thio relaxer or break down relaxer (on the counter)

10.      Apply product:  -  From scalp to porous ends

-  Porous ends

11.      Straight hair:  by comb

12.      Strand test

13.      Rinse hair, blot dry

PART 2: 

14.      Section hair:  9

15.      Wrap 6 rods (prevent fishhook)

16.      Apply protective cream and cotton band around hairline

17.      Wear gloves

18.      Take products:  -  Soft permanent wave solution (on the counter)

                                        -  Soft permanent wave neutralizer (on the counter)

19.      Apply waving lotion

20.      Take cotton off

21.      Test curl

22.      Rinse, blot dry

23.      Redrape cotton band

24.      Apply neutralizer

25.      Take cotton off

26.      Rinse again, blot dry

27.      Examiner check rods

28.      Fill record card

29.      Clean up
