WET HAIRSTYLING (WET SET)

I.  MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTS

*  Soap and water

            *  Shampoo cape

            *  Towels

            *  Comb:  Regular comb, tail comb

            *  Brush

            *  Pin (clips)

            *  Rollers

            *  Water spray bottle

            *  Setting lotion

            *  Hair spray

            *  Soiled bag

II.  PROCEDURE:

01.  Wash hands

            02.  Set up table

            03.  Drape patron:  Single drape

            04.  Examine scalp and hair

            05.  Shampoo hair, blot dry

            06.  Apply setting lotion

            07.  Set hair:

a.      Finger waving:  Whole head

b.      Roller set:  6 rollers display following 4 basic principles of roller control

-  180⁰ indentation/hollowness

-  125⁰ on base & overdirected

-  90⁰ half off base

-  45⁰ out off base

c.       Pin curls: 

-  6 forward curls

-  6 reverse curls

-  3 stand up curls

            08.  Examiner check rollers and pin curls

            09.  Clean up

            10.  Wash hands
