THERMAL HAIR PRESSING
AND CURLING
I. TITLES OF HAIR
PRESSING AND CURLING: (pressing comb,
marcel iron)
01.
Thermal hairstyling pressing/curling with marcel
iron
02.
Soft press with marcel curl on over curly hair
(mareel curl should demonstrate at least 4 appropriate
principles of roller control)
03.
Hard press with marcel curl on over curly hair
(marcel curls following the 4 principles of roller
control)
04.
Press and curl with pressing comb and marcel iron
on extremely curly hair
05.
Thermal hair dressing using hard press and curl
06.
Give your patron a complete hairstyling with
pressing comb and marcel iron demonstrate hard press 1/2
section with marcel iron.
Complete thermal hair
dressing with marcel iron. Demonstrate soft press using
pressing comb.
07.
Demonstrate by using the marcel iron to straight
the hair then you do the same with pressing comb.
08.
You are going to do hair pressing on over curly
hair by mareel iron and pressing comb.
09.
Demonstrate by using pressing comb soft press to
straight the hair and you use the hard press by marcel
iron to straight the hair 1/2 section.
10.
You are going to do pressing the hair by marcel
iron (hard press), demonstrate the marcel curl following
4 principles of roller control.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTS:
- Soap and
water
- Pressing comb
- Cloth

- Marcel iron

- Spatula
- Cloth sanex
strip
- Heater

- Pressing oil

Clips
- 1% gentian violet jelly
III.
PROCEDURE:
01.
Wash hands
02.
Set up table
03.
Drape on model:
- Cloth sanex strip
- Cloth cape
04.
Examine scalp and hair
05.
Section hair: 4
06.
Fix hair piece on block
07.
Place pressing comb or marcel iron in heater,
then turn on
08.
Apply pressing oil on hair
09.
Test temperature on white paper
10.
Press hair: soft press or hard press
11.
Place marcel iron or pressing comb in heater
12.
Curl hair: 4 principles of roller control
13.
Examiner check
14.
Clean up
15.
Wash hands
